SEA OF CORTEZ

Here, here there's a great deal. It was very hard, but I managed to find this at last. Sea of Cortez was a screamo band from arizona (now overnamed), one of those really difficult to share. They are now TOTALLY forgotten. I upped them, and I believe you can't find them anywhere but here. Indebted to early Unwound. Frantic drumming, and the tracks are so various in their structure it's almost unbelievable.
I added a track (their masterpiece imo) which was on a comp, this one in particular is very very rare and precious..

THE WIND-UP BIRD - THE WIND-UP BIRD (2002)

Do you know Jeromes Dream? They were an important screamo group in the early '90s - late '00s. Among the music, they are remembered becouse their leader Jeff Smith sung without microphone. This made him stop singing and in 2002 he founded The Wind-up Bird with another guy, a violinist or so (who I believe does the most in tthe project). Probably nobody would bet a coin on a screamo guy who turned ambient, right? But here we have one of the best ambient albums I've ever listened to. A mind blowing experience. And most important, this isn't the boring '10s ambient, there aren't only synths and keys, we have a massive range of instruments and, most of all, inspired pieces.

Uno dei miei gruppi preferiti, da sempre. Genere: Slowcore/alt rock. Songwriting eccelso.

Vi regalo 3 album, perchè son generoso e voi almeno uno lo scaricate. I Could Live in Hope è il classicone, uno dei dischi cardine del genere, se dovete sceglierne uno prendete questo, se invece ce l'avete già e state ancora leggendo c'è Trust, particolare nella loro discografia per le atmosfere un pò più oscure, e l'ultimo C'mon, che è un ritorno in impennata, fantastico, bellissimo. Oggettivamente, non ascoltatemi.

From Duluth, with sadness. Low (pronunciation: LOVE :) ) are one of the most important bands of the slowcore genre, and their classic I Could Live in Hope waits under here, ready to be heard.

I decided to put +2 albums becouse I'm a relatively good person. Trust is one of their gloomiest and still one of their best. (the truth is I couldn't find Things I Lost in the Fire, but TRUST ME).

Last but not least, C'mon is a great comeback, the album works really good and nearly all the pieces are amazing. I think I spent half an hour doing all this, I'm pretty ashamed of myself...

Semplicemente l'essenza dello slowcore. Quello che non punta sulla tristezza delle cose spoglie e povere (Codeine) ma sulla tristezza delle cose piccole e sole. Semplicemente sublime. Cantato a due sessi (scuola Low) e pezzi da avere e da lacrimare in silenzio.

Just slowcore's quintessence. Great tunes, very sad vocals. Perfect album.
